The Mother Behind The Home We Entered
Jaja is my mother-in-law, and she deserves to be recognised with the full respect given to a mother who built, guarded, and nurtured a home. She is the one from whom I snatched Tina, and even in that playful truth there is deep honour, because through Tina, Jaja's love and values continue to live in the family.
This tribute honours the place Jaja holds as a mother whose work is woven into the people we love. She is everything a grandmother should be, and often more, without needing to announce it with many words. Her presence is part of the reason our family circle feels grounded in respect, warmth, and belonging.
When I honour Jaja, I am honouring motherhood, sacrifice, and the deep strength of the woman who raised Tina. And without many words spoken, I know I am her favourite son-in-law. Sssshh. That family joke sits inside a real affection, and that affection is worthy of remembrance.
